Facelift

Facelift, technically known as rhytidectomy, is a procedure used in plastic surgery to give people a more youthful appearance. It usually involves the removal of excess fat, tightening of underlying muscles, and redraping the skin on the patient's face and neck. Now more and more women and men find the facelift as the right solution for them. The “plastic” or “pulled” look that was the signature of the facelift of old is not characteristic of the results achieved today. In fact, often no one can tell that you have had a facelift: you can look up to ten years younger and look younger naturally.

The results of an average facelift done today last for ten to fifteen years, and follow-up procedures can be performed to keep you looking as good as possible for even more years.

The best candidates are men and women whose face and neck have started to sag but who have good skin elasticity. Strong and well-defined bone structure is also a plus. Facelifts have been successfully performed on patients in their 50s and 60s.

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. The skin and muscular tissues are tightened using incisions in inconspicuous areas.

Bruising usually fades within two weeks, and after a few days you will be allowed to wear camouflage make-up.
